More talk about lifting the lockdown, perhaps as soon as next week. I really don’t think this is sensible. The graphs below compare the UK to other European countries and i think show why we’re several weeks away from relaxing. Italy and Spain are only just now starting to let select groups of people out, mostly children and carers or those in essential roles – and as the graphs show, they peaked 30-40 days ago. Germany remains tight. At best the UK peaked 5-10 days ago and we’re well away from where the other countries are. We run the risk of a new wave if we are not careful
